SearchEye Platform Overview

Edited

SearchEye is a digital PR and SEO marketplace that connects brands with publishers across 50,000+ vetted media outlets. The platform handles everything from publication discovery and content creation to pitching, approval, and live placement — all in one place.

This article walks through how the platform is structured and what each section does.

Two Dashboards

SearchEye has two separate dashboards depending on your role.

Brand Dashboard — for brands and agencies managing placements. Accessible at app.searcheye.io/brand.

Publisher Dashboard — for publishers managing incoming orders and their publication listings. Accessible at app.searcheye.io/publisher.

You can switch between dashboards using the toggle in the top navigation bar.

Brand Dashboard

The Brand Dashboard has three main areas: Sofia, Marketplace, and Brand Orders.

Sofia

Sofia is SearchEye's autonomous AI agent. It researches publications, generates placement strategies, sends requests to publishers, and manages your campaign — all based on the goals and guardrails you set.

Sofia's Agents

The Sofia tab shows all agents you have created. Each agent is assigned to a specific domain and campaign, runs on a set frequency (one-time, weekly, or monthly), and has a defined budget.

Each agent card displays:

  • Status — Active or Paused

  • Frequency — how often the agent runs

  • Budget — total spend allocated vs. used

  • Performance — number of strategies generated, requests sent, approvals, placements in progress, and live placements

You can create multiple agents for different domains or campaigns, and pause or adjust any agent at any time.

Setting Up a Strategy (4 Steps)

When you create a new agent or strategy, you go through a four-step setup.

Step 1 — Set Up Your Strategy

Select the brand (domain), choose a campaign if applicable, set your total budget, and choose how often the strategy should run. You also select the content type — currently Articles, with Reddit coming soon.

The platform shows an estimated placement range based on your budget, including projected backlinks, brand mentions in AI-cited articles, and third-party credibility signals.

Step 2 — Refine Publication Criteria (Optional)

Filter the publications Sofia targets. Options include:

  • Types of Articles — All Articles (new and existing), New Articles only, or Existing Articles only

  • Authority & Traffic — Sofia optimizes for the strongest signals by default; customize only if needed

  • Website Types & Industries — fine-tune by publication type or industry vertical

  • Specific Publication Filters:

    • Publications mentioning competitors — find sites covering brands in your space

    • Get mentioned by AI — target publications cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity (requires AthenaHQ or DemandSphere integration)

    • Only saved publications — limit to your bookmarked publishers

    • Exclude previously contacted — skip publications already reached out to

  • Additional Information — free text field for any specific preferences

Step 3 — Co-Pilot Automation (Optional)

Choose which steps Sofia handles automatically. Each toggle saves significant time per placement request.

  • Find publications & generate strategy — Sofia researches and ranks publications, generates tailored pitches and content briefs, and builds a keyword and URL strategy. ~45 minutes saved per request.

  • Send requests to publications — Sofia sends placement requests on your behalf, selecting the right pitch angle and timing.

  • Place orders when accepted — Sofia places the order automatically when a publisher accepts, using your SearchEye credits.

  • Review & approve content — Sofia reviews the published content to confirm your brand is mentioned correctly, links are live, and quality standards are met.

You can enable all automations for full hands-off operation, or keep manual control over specific steps.

Step 4 — Fund & Launch

Load your deposit as SearchEye credits. Credits are only used when you approve a placement — strategy generation and content review are always free. Deposit options are a minimum of 10% of your budget up to the full budget amount. Once funded, the strategy launches and Sofia begins running.

Marketplace

The Marketplace is the full publisher inventory where you can browse, filter, and place orders directly — without going through Sofia.

Entire Inventory

Displays all available publications matching your current filters. Each publisher card shows:

  • Domain name and verification status

  • DR (Domain Rating) — domain authority score from Ahrefs

  • Traffic — estimated monthly visitors

  • Relevance score — how closely the publication matches your brand

  • Description — what the publication covers

  • Location, industry, and content tags

  • Pricing — starting cost for a placement

  • Generate Strategy button — triggers an AI-generated placement strategy for that specific publication

Filters available:

  • My List (Saved / Hidden publications)

  • Exclude Owned Placements

  • Show Competitor Placements

  • Get Mentioned by AI

  • Price Range

  • Domain Range (DR)

  • Organic Traffic

Exclusive Pricing

A dedicated tab showing publications with pre-negotiated exclusive rates available only through SearchEye — typically 70–90% below direct rates. These are publishers SearchEye has built direct relationships with. Exclusive pricing is available to Agency and Enterprise plan holders at $40/mention.

Brand Orders

Brand Orders shows all placement orders across your domains, with a summary dashboard at the top displaying:

  • Total articles purchased

  • Total articles published

  • SearchEye success rate

  • Credits saved (past 30 days)

  • Reclaimed links

Orders are filtered by status: All, Action Needed, Approved Offers, In Progress, Published, Canceled.

Each order row shows the Order ID, publisher details (domain, traffic, DR), brand details, order date, total cost, offer type, media type (new or existing article), and mention type (Link, Brand Mention, Brand Feature, etc.).

Order statuses:

  • Action Needed — requires your input (e.g. content ready for review, payment pending)

  • Approved Offers — publisher has accepted; awaiting next step

  • In Progress — content is being created or the order is in process

  • Published — live placement; link available

  • Canceled — order did not proceed

Publisher Dashboard

The Publisher Dashboard is where publishers manage the orders they receive and their publication listings.

Publisher Orders

Displays all incoming orders from brands, filtered by status: All, Action Required, In Progress, Published, Unpublished, Canceled.

Each order shows:

  • Order ID and brand details (domain, traffic, DR)

  • Publisher details

  • Order date, offer type, and mention type

  • Current status

Publisher-side action statuses:

  • Content Ready for Review — content has been generated and is awaiting publisher review

  • Waiting for Live Link — the publisher needs to submit the published article link

  • Review content / Send published link — action buttons for the publisher to take next steps

All Publications

Lists all publications the publisher has registered on the platform. Each row shows:

  • Active/inactive toggle — controls whether the publication is accepting orders

  • Domain name

  • Orders — total orders received

  • Offers — open offers pending

  • Approval type — what level of review the publisher requires (Pitch, Content, or No Approval)

  • Status — Approved or Unknown

Publishers can add new publications using the + Add new Publication button and export their full publication list.

Integrations

Connect third-party tools to enhance platform intelligence.

LLM Partners:

  • AthenaHQ — identifies which articles ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity cite for your target prompts. Syncs citation data, keyword groups, and competitor intelligence directly into SearchEye.

  • DemandSphere — AI and traditional search visibility data across major LLMs. Powers publication scoring, citation tracking, and strategy generation.

Content Partners:

  • Lexicon — optionally writes content for new article placements. Applied per order — never automatic.

Connecting an LLM partner unlocks the "Get Mentioned by AI" filter in Sofia and the Marketplace, allowing you to target publications already cited by AI models for your keywords.

Credits

Credits are the currency used on SearchEye for publisher spend. Your deposit is loaded as credits when you fund a strategy or top up your account. Credits are only deducted when you approve a placement — browsing, strategy generation, and content review do not cost credits.

The current credit balance is displayed in the top navigation bar on both dashboards.

If a placement is not fulfilled, credits for that order are automatically refunded to your account.
