Understanding Order Statuses

Edited

Every order in your Brand Orders dashboard has a status that tells you exactly where it is in the process — from the moment a request is sent to when it goes live. This article explains what each status means and what action, if any, is required from you.

Action Needed

This status means something requires your attention. Two scenarios trigger an Action Needed status:

Your approval needed

Content has been written and is ready for your review before it goes live. Click View content to read the article and approve or request changes.

This appears when you have Approve content before publishing enabled on your order, which is the default setting. It is recommended to keep this on so you maintain full visibility over how your brand is presented.

Payment pending

The publisher has accepted your request, but the order has not been paid for yet. This happens when the Auto place order if approved toggle is off, or when you do not have enough credits to cover the order at the time of approval.

Click Pay Now to complete the order and move it forward.

Approved Offers

The publisher has reviewed and accepted your placement request. The order is now waiting to be placed and paid for.

  • If Auto place order if approved is toggled on and you have sufficient credits, the order will be placed automatically — no action needed.

  • If the toggle is off or credits are insufficient, the order will show a Payment Pending label. Click Pay Now to complete it.

To avoid orders sitting in Approved Offers, keep the Auto place order if the approved toggle enabled and maintain a credit balance that covers your active campaigns.

In Progress

The order has been placed and is actively moving through the fulfillment pipeline. SearchEye and the publisher are handling everything at this stage — no action is required from you.

In Progress orders display a sub-status that tells you exactly where in the process the order is:

In Progress – Publisher pitch approval

The pitch has been sent to the publisher and is awaiting their review and acceptance. This is the first stage after an order is placed.

In Progress – SearchEye reviewing content

The publisher has accepted the pitch, and content is being written. SearchEye is internally reviewing the article before sending it to you or the publisher for final approval.

In Progress – Publisher content approval

The content has been written and reviewed by SearchEye and is now with the publisher for their final approval before publishing.

In Progress – Publisher submitting live link

The article has been approved and published. The publisher is in the process of submitting the live link back to SearchEye. The order will move to Published once the link is confirmed and verified.

Published

The article is live. Your brand placement has been successfully published on the selected publication.

Click View published link on the order to open the live article. You can also share this link with your team or clients as proof of placement.

All published placements contribute to your total articles published count and are tracked in your Brand Orders dashboard summary.

Canceled

The order did not proceed. There are several reasons an order may be canceled:

  • The publisher declined the placement request

  • The placement could not be fulfilled within the agreed terms

  • The order was manually canceled

If a placement is canceled after payment has been made, credits for that order are automatically refunded to your account. You can verify this in your Payments tab.

Dashboard Summary Stats

At the top of your Brand Orders page, you'll also see a summary of your account's overall performance:

  • Total Articles Purchased — all orders placed across your account

  • Total Articles Published — confirmed live placements

  • SearchEye Success Rate — percentage of purchased orders that resulted in a live placement

  • Savings — estimated cost saved versus direct publisher rates over the past 30 days

  • Reclaimed Links — previously lost or broken links that have been recovered
