What are Publication Offers?

What is a Publication?

SearchEye defines a Publication as a specific website that has been approved to be a SearchEye Publisher Partner.

What is an Offer?

2 different items make up an offer:

  • Brand Integration: how a brand will be integrated into the article:

    • Link, Expert Quote, Brand Mention, Interview or Full Feature

  • Article Type: New Article, Existing Article

Any combination of these is considered an offer. For example:

  • Link in an Existing Article

  • Brand Mention in a New Article

Access your Publisher Management Dashboard

Under Publisher Management, click on your Publisher Orders to access your dashboard. Then click on the 'All Publications' tab.

Adding a Publication Site

  • Click on Add new Publication.

  • Fill out the Company Website URL and hit Add Publication to save input.

Adding Marketplace Offer for each Publication

After adding a publication, or if you wish to make future updates, follow these steps:

  • Click on the Edit icon from the right-hand side of the publication you just added or you'd like to update.

  • You'll be presented a form on the Offers tab which you can update based on the pricing, requirements and the type of offer as required by the publication.

  • Before clicking Save, ensure that all details are accurate and up to date.

Deactivating / Activating Offer

You can easily change the publication status by following the steps below:

Deactivating Offers

  1. Navigate to the Offer: Go to the specific offer or website for which you want to change the status.

  2. Toggle the Publication Status: Switch the Publication Status to mark the offer as 'Inactive.'

Activating / Reactivating Offers

  • If you want to activate or decide to reactivate an offer later, simply return to the Publication Status of the offer.

  • Toggle the Publication Status switch back to 'Active.'

How to Set Vacation Mode for Your Offers

Taking a break? Whether you’re going on vacation or your publisher/editor needs some time off, you can easily update the publication status of your offers from your dashboard:

  1. Access the Offer: Navigate to the specific offer or website that you wish to modify. This is where you will change the publication status.

  2. Change the Publication Status: Toggle to Publication Status to mark the offer as 'Inactive.' This step ensures that the offer won't be visible during your absence.

  3. Set an End Date: A pop-up window will appear prompting you to set an End Date. Hover over the End Date field and select the date until which you want the publication to remain deactivated. This allows you to plan for when the offer will automatically reactivate.

  4. Save Your Changes: Once you’ve selected the End Date, click on 'Set Vacation Mode' to save your updates. Your offer is now in Vacation Mode!

What do all these fields mean?

Brand Integrations

This refers to how a brand is integrated into an article. From lowest brand exposure to highest brand exposure:

  1. Link: a simple link that directs the user to a specific resource on the Brand's site

  2. Expert Quote: a quote from a verified expert at Brand's site that provides more context and information about a specific piece of information (up to 1 paragraph)

  3. Brand Mention: up to 3 paragraphs about the brand inside of an article

  4. Interview: an article dedicated to interviewing a verified expert at Brand's site

  5. Full Feature: an article fully dedicated to Brand's site (or specific product)

Earn more: The more exposure that a brand earns in an article, the more SearchEye credits you earn as a publisher.

Article Types

This refers to the types of article edits you're open to:

  • New Article: Write a new article (by default, SearchEye creates) on the Publication website.

  • Existing Article: Edits to an existing article (already published content) on the Publication website.

Sample

An existing article on the site. This helps users (and SearchEye) get a better understanding of what the article will look like.

Marketplace Pricing Models

SearchEye makes it as easy as possible to price your Publication Offers on the platform. You can either let us choose or you can provide a pricing floor (minimum price).

SearchEye Model [Recommended]

We'll automatically price your offer to optimize for revenue.

Pricing is adjusted in real-time for fair value, ensuring you are earning the right number of credits for each Publication Offer. We take into consideration:

Marketplace Visibility

SearchEye takes brand safety very seriously. Some brands want to remain discreet, and that's perfectly acceptable.

We allow Publishers to decide if they'd like to expose their URL to potential Brands on the platform.

Warning: Hiding Your Domain URL will significantly reduce the number of collaboration requests

Updating Collaboration Requirements

  • From the All Publications list page, click on the Edit icon and click on the Collaboration tab.

  • Fill out the required fields based on Editorial Guidelines and publication requirements.

What do all these fields mean?

To better attract the right brands that you'd like to collaborate with, SearchEye allows you to provide additional customizations:

Competitor Privacy

By default, we will hide your website from competitors on the platform. You can toggle this on and work with competitors

Verified Experts Only

This will restrict the types of brands that can work with you. Verified experts provide their LinkedIn profile and additional data. This leads to higher-quality brands and experts.

Minimum Domain Rating (DR)

Domain Rating is a great proxy for how authoritative a site is. You can set a minimum and filter out lesser authoritative brands. The lower this is set (Defaults is 0), the more collaboration requests you'll receive.

Minimum Organic Traffic (Traffic)

Traffic is a great proxy for how active, or content-rich, a site is. You can set a minimum and filter out lower-traffic sites. The lower this is set (Defaults is 0), the more collaboration requests you'll receive.
